WHY:  100% of proceeds will be applied directly to the Punch Worthington Lab at UCLA and the Pacific Meso Center lab for important mesenchymal stem cell research to find treatments for mesothelioma.
Mesothelioma is an aggressive, asbestos-related form of cancer affecting the lining of the chest - the pleura. Approximately 3,000 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma in the US each year, but there's currently no cure for this disease. Pacific Meso Center scientists are working hard to find better treatments and improve mesothelioma patients' quality of life.
